Synopsis
A vicious serial killer is targeting women in New York, taunting the lead Detective of the case with phone calls in the voice of a duck as he continues his increasingly bloody reign of terror with an assortment of weapons ranging from knives and straight razors to broken glass bottles.
Black Maria is turning the month of Halloween into the month of Gialloween, continuing our annual love affair with Lucio Fulci with what is undoubtedly his sleaziest, most revolting film, his 1982 slasher-giallo 'THE NEW YORK RIPPER'!
QUACK-QUACK-QUACK!
"He used a blade. Stuck it up her joy trail, and slit her wide open. He could have done a slightly better job if he had more time. But overall, it was a good, efficient butchery."
Black Maria Film Collective is taking over the Backlot this October 22nd for Gialloween, proudly screening Lucio Fulci's notorious video nasty sleazefest 'The New York Ripper', complete with Fulci-themed vomit bags (just in case) AND an exclusive video introduction by film critic, genre enthusiast and expert Alexandra Heller-Nicholas!
