Synopsis
The plot (such as it is) concerns Laura Dern's Nikki, an actress who gets the lead role in a new film production, On High in Blue Tomorrows - a remake of an unmade German adaptation of a Polish folk tale that was rumoured to be cursed. Nikki's world slowly becomes stranger and stranger, as she finds herself absorbing the character she is playing. There's also scenes of anthropomorphic rabbits talking in non-sequiturs, too.

Shot on standard definition DV tapes using the Sony DSR-PD150 camcorder from an unfinished script, INLAND EMPIRE is David Lynch at his most artistically liberated.
