Black Maria Film Collective presents writer-director Paul Schrader’s (writer of Taxi Driver, Raging Bull) severely underrated 1979 sophomore feature, HARDCORE. With all the typical Schrader hallmarks such as despairing views of religion, self-destructive descents of character, and the exploration of underbellies often unseen, HARDCORE, is an experience not to be missed.
“TURN IT OFF! TURN IT OFF! TURN IT OFF!”

Prior to the main feature, we are proud to present the first Black Maria-produced short film, the locally-made Same Time Monday, written and directed by our very own Russell Wyatt Roberts and starring 80s Aussie film icon Steve Bisley.
