IMDb title #0000019: 'The Clown Barber' (1898, James Williamson)
It's a crying shame that this film is either 'lost' or so hard to find, because we would love to see a late-19th century film about a clown barber that beheads a customer and replaces his head!
IMDb title #0000020: 'The Derby 1895' (1895, Birt Acres)
Shot on Robert Paul's Kinetoscope (who would go on to shooting the 1896 Epsom Downs Derby) on a framerate of 16 fps, this film was long considered lost until 1995, when an excerpt of it was found in a private collection.
Check your attics and check your basements, folks! Who knows? Maybe you have inadvertently stored in ideal temperate conditions one of the great lost films.
